Anymore, entrepreneurship is not only about running your business.

Welcome to the brand new Blog by Laurea Entrepreneurship Society!

If you are not yet familiar with LaureaES; we are a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to lower the step to entrepreneurship. We operate mostly in Laurea but also in other Universities of Applied Sciences, Haaga-Helia and Metropolia,  in Helsinki Area. LaureaES aims to become the stepping stone between being a student and becoming an entrepreneur. In order to do so, we promote entrepreneurship not only as a possible career choice but also as a mindset.

LaureaES is lead by a group of volunteers, and actions are governed by yearly changing board, which consists of volunteering students and alumnus. Anyone interested in our activities can join to organize events and start the journey to become the best version of themselves.

Anymore, entrepreneurship is not only about running your business. It is not only a career, it is a mindset, a skill set, and most importantly it is the can-do-attitude. This actually something that employers now and in future are looking for. With us, you can develop yourself, your entrepreneurial attitude and prepare for work life. If you are interested in marketing or event management or public speaking or just want to hang around the great community, we welcome you.

LaureaES organizes different events throughout the year. Most know of our events is Yrittäjyystiistai, Entrepreneurship Tuesday, our oldest event concept that has provided experienced entrepreneurs and inspiring speeches since March 2008.

You might have also heard about Pitch&Beer, that brings business idea developers to the stage in front of a real crowd. This can be the first touch to the pitching stage or a chance to pilot your idea for the first time. As the name hints, beverages are included.

We also organize two programs; Hatch Incubator meant for early-stage business ideas as an introduction to the startup scene and Cambridge Venture Camp, which accelerates students business ideas one week in Finland and other in Cambridge, UK.

We warmly welcome you to our blog, and ask you to stay tuned for posts about entrepreneurship, self-development, startup community and interesting other topics from guest writers!
